We have pianists based in London, the Home Counties, South Wales and the North West, but if you’re getting married elsewhere and you like what we do, please do get in touch. Our team is growing, and we all love to travel, so we’ll do our best to make it happen for you.

Yes, you will absolutely know who your pianist is.

For weddings that are within a year, we’ll usually allocate and confirm your pianist at the point of booking. For weddings that are more than a year away, your exact pianist isn’t allocated straight away.

This is a deliberate part of how we work. Weddings booked far in advance naturally come with unknowns, and people’s circumstances can change over time. By booking with HMH Piano Collective, you’re booking the collective and our standards of service, rather than relying on one individual’s availability remaining unchanged over a long period.

Hannah remains your main point of contact throughout the planning process, and three months before your wedding your pianist will be allocated and confirmed. Pianists are matched based on factors such as location and their suitability for your chosen music style and the overall atmosphere you’d like to create.

At that point everything is locked in, allowing your pianist to focus fully on preparing your music and bringing your choices to life. Whoever plays at your wedding, you can be confident your music will be beautifully prepared, professional, and seamless on the day.

Yes – of course! If there’s a particular pianist whose style you love, just let us know.

We’ll always do everything we can to accommodate your preference. If your wedding is within a year, we’re often able to allocate your preferred pianist at the point of booking, subject to availability.

For weddings booked further in advance, we note your preference and keep it very much in mind. Because so much can change over a longer timeframe, we confirm your pianist three months before the wedding, once availability can be properly secured. This helps us ensure everything is smooth and reliable as your day approaches.

All of our pianists are hand-picked, highly experienced wedding performers who work to the same high standards. Whoever plays at your wedding will be thoughtfully matched based on location, your musical style, and the atmosphere you’d like to create – so you can feel confident your music will be beautifully prepared and seamlessly delivered on the day.

Yes! Our digital piano and grand piano shell are very portable and can be set up indoors or outdoors. We do need access to power, and also a shady spot as the equipment can be damaged if in full sun for too long. If rain is forecast Hannah will liaise with you and your venue about possible alternative options, but don’t worry, your live music will still happen, whatever the weather.

Yes. All of our packages include the hire of our grand piano, plus the necessary amplification.

Yes! We are always excited to discover venues that have a piano available to use, and are happy to play them instead of using our own.

Not every piano is created equal, and I would recommend reading this blog post for our tips on what you need to check with the venue to ensure the piano is in good working order (because nobody wants the honky tonk school piano vibe on their wedding day!).

If there is a piano available at your venue, a deduction of £50 will be made from whichever package you choose.

Yes, your pianist will learn up to 5 new pieces especially for your wedding day. So you’re free to select the songs and pieces of music that mean the most to you. We love a challenge!

Yes. We love to bring your musical ideas to life, so let us know what you’re looking for, or send a link to a favourite arrangement, and we will let you know whether it will work. If we feel that the arrangement might not sound quite the way you imagine it, we will offer solutions and suggest alternatives to make sure the end result is perfect.

 Of course! Hannah has been performing as a wedding pianist since 2009, and she’s here to guide you through every step of the way. She can help point you towards classical pieces that evoke a certain feeling, or else steer you gently back down memory lane to help you rediscover the songs that have meanings for the two of you.

If you’re thinking about adding another musician alongside the piano, we’d be very happy to explore this with you for the ceremony. This part of the day usually involves a smaller number of carefully chosen pieces, which allows us to rehearse properly and ensure everything sounds cohesive.

For the drinks reception and/or wedding breakfast, the volume of music required means we offer solo piano music only.

Working with another musician for the ceremony
There are two options, depending on what feels right for you:

• £100 – You source the musician
  You book another musician independently, and we’ll take over liaising with them directly to organise the music and coordination ahead of the day.
• £500 – We source the musician for you
  We can source and book a trusted professional musician on your behalf. This is a minimum additional fee, and the final cost may vary depending on the individual musician.

Our aim is always to make sure everything feels easy and straightforward for you, while ensuring the music is beautifully delivered on the day.
