Every time I play there, I’m reminded of just how special this venue is – not just for the couples who choose it, but for everyone lucky enough to be part of their day.
A Ceremony Room Designed for Music
One of the things I absolutely love about Sant Ffraed House is the ceremony room in the main house. It’s such a beautiful, light-filled space, and the fact that it has a digital baby grand piano makes it even more special. As a pianist, there’s nothing better than playing on a piano in a space designed to let the music truly shine. Couples often tell me they book us because they want to make the most of that piano, and I can’t blame them – it’s a dream to play there.
Personalising the Aisle Walk
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of playing all sorts of music for brides walking down the aisle at Sant Ffraed House. From the elegance of Einaudi’s I Giorni to the cinematic drama of the Interstellar theme, and even fun, unexpected choices like Dancing Queen by ABBA, every couple brings their own unique style to the day. I’ve also played countless Disney songs and the beautifully emotional I’m Kissing You by Des’ree – there’s always something so moving about seeing a bride walk down the aisle to a piece of music that means the world to her.
The Gold Package: Music for Every Moment
Many of our couples choose our Gold Package, which includes music for two parts of the day – usually the ceremony and either the drinks reception or the wedding breakfast.
Drinks Reception: Sophistication Meets Relaxation
For the drinks reception, we often set up our stunning black and gold grand piano in the bar area of the K Room. The decor in there is so chic, and our piano fits in perfectly, adding to the sophisticated vibe. On sunny days, we love setting up outside on the terrace. The music carries beautifully across the outdoor space, creating such a relaxed and joyful atmosphere for guests as they sip champagne and enjoy the views.
Wedding Breakfast: Elegance in the K Room
If we’re playing for the wedding breakfast, we set up in the K Room itself. With its striking circular glass frontage and gorgeous views of the grounds, it’s a breathtaking space, and our grand piano adds that extra touch of elegance. It’s the perfect way to elevate the atmosphere and give the whole room a high-end London cocktail bar feel – something Sant Ffraed House does so well.
