Nestled in the heart of Brecon, Treberfydd House is a venue straight out of a fairytale. With its stunning Gothic Revival architecture, surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, it’s a picture-perfect setting for a wedding. It’s no wonder Lyndsey and Dean chose this enchanting venue for their big day. Their wedding ceremony was filled with personal touches, and the music was a true highlight. Lyndsey had a very special plan to create unique wedding music for her entrance, and I was honored to help make her vision a reality.
A Surprise Entrance with Unique Wedding Music
Lyndsey wanted her ceremony entrance to be a surprise for her groom, Dean. She dreamed of walking down the aisle to a medley of their favorite film scores. However, when she tried to create it herself, the different keys and tempos didn’t flow as she’d hoped. That’s when she reached out to me for help.
We worked together to craft a bespoke arrangement for piano and cello, featuring these iconic film themes:
- Back to the Future theme
- Concerning Hobbits from The Lord of the Rings
- Jurassic Park theme
- Indiana Jones Love Theme
- PM’s Love Theme from Love Actually
- Across the Stars from Star Wars
- Riders of Rohan from The Lord of the Rings
This medley was a journey through the couple’s favourite films. It lasted nine minutes, starting with the energetic Back to the Future theme and ending on the powerful Riders of Rohan, when Lyndsey made her grand entrance.
A Memorable Entrance for Everyone
The result? Pure magic. The medley flowed seamlessly from one theme to the next, creating an emotional journey for the couple and their guests. The groom had no idea about Lyndsey’s plans and was visibly moved. Guests were laughing, crying, and marvelling as they recognised each iconic piece.
The arrangement was not just background music—it became part of the storytelling for the ceremony. With a long walk to the aisle and four bridesmaids accompanied by groomsmen, the length of the medley was ideal. Every moment of the entrance felt intentional and meaningful.
Dean was so emotional all the way through each piece and it was the reaction I’d imagined so perfectly. I’ve had so many compliments from guests and suppliers that it was such a beautiful aisle walk. I can’t get over how amazing you guys were. The whole piece you created for me, I will remember for the rest of my life.
A Ceremony Full of Personality
Lyndsey and Dean’s ceremony wasn’t just about the music. They chose a celebrant (Seren Celebrants), which allowed them to make the ceremony deeply personal. It included touching anecdotes about their relationship and heartfelt vows that left everyone teary-eyed.
To top it all off, the couple incorporated a singalong to Can’t Take My Eyes Off You. Guests didn’t hold back—they sang their hearts out, making the ceremony even more joyful and memorable (watch it here!). The blend of emotional and fun moments captured the essence of Lyndsey and Dean’s personalities.
