Deciding what music you want to walk out to as you leave your wedding ceremony is harder than it sounds! It’s your first walk as a married couple and you want it to be a really memorable moment. Often couples spend ages trying to pick the perfect piece of music, but my advice would be this: choose music that you love, has special meaning, or just makes you feel good! Unless the aisle is really long, you will only hear the first few bars (with all your wedding guests cheering over the top of it!) before you leave the wedding ceremony room – it’s your guests that hear most of it as they file out behind you. And remember there are no rules, it doesn’t have to be an up tempo number, it can be any piece of music you like.
Having said that, if you need some inspiration, here are my top five picks for wedding ceremony exit music:
- L.O.V.E – Nat King Cole
- Everything – Michael Buble
- This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) – Natalie Cole (click to listen)
- Better Together – Jack Johnson
- For Once in My Life – Stevie Wonder
