Set in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Peterstone Court is one of those venues that makes you stop and say, “Wow.” With its gorgeous Georgian architecture and breathtaking views, it’s the perfect backdrop for an elegant yet relaxed wedding day. It also happens to have a grand piano ready and waiting to bring your live music dreams to life—a win for any piano-loving couple!

In this post, we’re diving into the details of Buffy and Paul’s beautiful wedding at Peterstone Court. From a bride who knew exactly what she wanted for her bridal entrance to the perfectly curated wedding breakfast playlist, you’ll find plenty of inspiration here for your own wedding music choices.

The Ceremony: A Personal Touch

Buffy had a clear vision for her ceremony music, and it was such a joy to help her bring it to life. She walked down the aisle to Last Song by Alexis Ffrench, an emotional and timeless piece that perfectly captured the magic of the moment. Watching her make her entrance to the gentle, uplifting melody was a highlight of the day—and yes, there were definitely some tears!

During the signing of the register, Rebecca performed Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, a timeless song that brought a sense of warmth and reflection to the moment. For their ceremony exit, the couple chose a piano arrangement of My Neighbour Totoro Theme (arranged by Tomohisa Okudo). This whimsical and joyful piece added a playful touch to the conclusion of their ceremony, leaving guests smiling and setting the tone for the celebrations ahead.

Creating Atmosphere During The Meal at a Peterstone Court Wedding

Peterstone Court’s beautiful piano is in prime position to entertain guests throughout the meal. The couple took full advantage of the opportunity to personalise their day with live music, requesting Rebecca to learn a special piece for them: Merry-go-round of Life by Joe Hisaishi from Howl’s Moving Castle.

The rest of their playlist was a fantastic mix of classics, modern hits, and even a few movie themes, all handpicked by the couple. Their favourites included:

  • My Girl – The Temptations
  • It’s Your Day – Yiruma
  • You Make My Dreams Come True – Hall and Oates
  • Fly Me To The Moon – Frank Sinatra
  • I’ve Got You Under My Skin – Frank Sinatra
  • Theme From Jurassic Park – John Williams
  • La La Land – City of Stars
  • I Wanna Dance With Somebody – Whitney Houston

One thing we always encourage our couples to do is let us know if there’s anything they don’t want played, and Buffy and Paul were clear that Ed Sheeran tracks were a no-go for their day. That’s the beauty of working with us—your music is entirely curated to your tastes, right down to the songs you’d rather avoid.
