When it comes to planning a wedding, most couples focus on their ceremony entrance—but have you thought about how you’ll enter your wedding breakfast? A well-timed song choice can create an incredible moment that sets the tone for the rest of the celebrations.

At Oldwalls, Gower, Paddy and Emma created a wedding day soundtrack that was truly personal to them, making a statement with both their ceremony entrance and wedding breakfast arrival. From a breathtaking walk down the aisle to a carefully timed grand entrance, their wedding was full of unforgettable musical moments.

In this blog post, I’ll take you through the music they chose for their ceremony and how they made an impact with their wedding breakfast entrance, plus some tips on how you can create a similar effect for your own day.

A Thoughtfully Chosen Ceremony Soundtrack

From the very start of planning, Paddy and Emma had a clear vision for their ceremony music. They sent me a link to an Instagram reel featuring a piano arrangement of Canon in D transitioning into The Shire from Lord of the Rings. They loved the seamless flow of the two pieces and wanted to recreate the same effect for their ceremony entrance.

I extended Canon in D so that it lasted long enough for all six bridesmaids to walk along the aisle. Then, just as the bride appeared, I transitioned into The Shire, bringing an extra layer of emotion to the moment.

For the signing of the register, they kept the music light and romantic with a Disney theme, choosing Go the Distance from Hercules and I See the Light from Tangled. Finally, they made their way back up the aisle as husband and wife to You’re Still the One by Shania Twain.

The ceremony was full of heartfelt moments, and even their dog played a role as the ring bearer, making it even more special!

A Grand Wedding Breakfast Entrance

After the ceremony, I moved my piano into the marquee, where the wedding breakfast was set to take place. Paddy and Emma wanted their entrance to make an impact, and they had chosen Where Our Blue Is by Tatsuya Kitani.

They had found an intricate piano arrangement online, and after purchasing the sheet music, I spent time learning it so I could bring their vision to life. The arrangement was fast-paced and dynamic, requiring precision to capture its energy.

On the day, the couple timed their entrance perfectly. They waited for the introduction to play and walked into the room just as the main section of the song began. Their guests erupted into cheers and applause, creating an electric atmosphere! It was a Gower wedding entrance to remember, proving how live music can turn a simple walk into an extraordinary experience. Watch their entrance here!

Elevate Your Gower Wedding with Live Music

Live music has the ability to transform key wedding moments, making them feel even more personal and unforgettable. Whether it’s a carefully chosen song for your ceremony entrance, a unique arrangement that reflects your story as a couple, or an energetic piece to set the tone for your wedding breakfast, music has the power to create lasting memories.

One of the biggest advantages of live music is its flexibility. Unlike a pre-recorded track, a live pianist can adapt the timing to match your entrance perfectly, ensuring that the most meaningful part of the song plays just as you step into view. It’s those small but impactful details that turn a special moment into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
