Some weddings are beautiful, some are emotional, and some are pure cinematic magic—Natalie and Ryan’s wedding at Dewsall Court was all three.

With a Hollywood glam theme and a ceremony packed with iconic film music, this was a day where every detail felt like a moment from the silver screen. From a grand ceremony entrance that timed perfectly to the music to a unique twist on their exit song, Natalie and Ryan created a wedding soundtrack that was truly their own.

A Love for Film Music

Natalie and Ryan reached out just over three months before their big day, knowing that live music was going to play a huge part in their wedding ceremony. They’d heard me perform at a tasting event at Dewsall Court and, after recognising some of their favourite film scores, they knew I was the perfect fit to bring their wedding soundtrack to life.

With Eleanor from The Full Stop Celebrant leading the ceremony, the couple made sure every part of their day reflected their personalities. The stunning Wainhouse was transformed into an enchanting woodland, thanks to the incredible floristry of The Petal Emporium, making the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt and joyful ceremony.

The Perfect Dewsall Court Wedding Ceremony Music

Before the ceremony began, guests were treated to a dreamy selection of film themes and love songs. These pieces created the perfect atmosphere as everyone took their seats and anticipation built for Natalie’s entrance:

  • A Million Dreams – The Greatest Showman
  • Now We Are Free – Gladiator
  • I’m Forrest… Forrest Gump – Forrest Gump
  • Married Life – Up

The couple also handpicked a stunning selection of romantic and nostalgic songs, including:

  • A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes – Cinderella
  • All the Small Things – Blink-182
  • Beauty and the Beast – Beauty and the Beast
  • Can You Feel the Love Tonight – The Lion King
  • City of Stars – La La Land
  • Close to You – The Carpenters
  • Glasgow Love Theme – Love Actually
  • Moon River – Breakfast at Tiffany’s
  • She – Elvis Costello
  • Up Where We Belong – An Officer and a Gentleman
  • What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong
  • When You Wish Upon a Star – Pinocchio

A Cinematic Entrance

If ever there was a piece of music designed to build anticipation and bring pure movie magic to a ceremony, Maestro from The Holiday is it.

With six bridesmaids, three page boys, and six flower girls making their way down the aisle first, this song had its moment to shine. I was able to time Natalie’s entrance perfectly, hitting that breathtaking musical shift just as she stepped into view. It was a real main character moment—goosebumps guaranteed!

A Live Mash-Up for the Ceremony Exit

For their exit, Natalie and Ryan wanted something upbeat and celebratory—Inner Smile by Texas. But rather than a piano arrangement, they wanted the original track, so I played along live with the recording to add a dynamic and unique touch. It was a brilliant way to blend the energy of recorded music with the elegance of live performance.

Bringing It All Together

Natalie and Ryan’s wedding was the perfect example of how music can transform a ceremony into something completely unique. Their choice of Dewsall Court wedding ceremony music reflected their personalities, love for film, and glamorous theme in the most perfect way.

The day was seamlessly planned and coordinated by Rachel from Salt and Scent Events, who ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of such a beautifully curated and heartfelt celebration.
