One such beautiful example was a wedding at Coed y Mwstwr in Bridgend, South Wales, where our talented pianist, Joseph, helped bring a couple’s musical vision to life in a truly memorable way.
The couple initially enquired about booking us a year before their wedding, but due to financial reasons, they decided not to go ahead. However, just four months before their big day, they had a change of heart. They realised how much live piano music could elevate the atmosphere of their wedding ceremony and decided it was an essential element they couldn’t do without.
The Pre-Ceremony Playlist
For their pre-ceremony music, the couple selected gentle, romantic piano covers to welcome their guests and set a calm, elegant tone. Their choices included some of our favourite pieces:

- Forrest Gump Main Theme
- Melodies of Life from Final Fantasy
- Le Onde by Ludovico Einaudi
- Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi
- River Flows in You by Yiruma
The music created a peaceful ambiance, filling the air as the guests arrived and took their seats. It was the perfect prelude to the emotional ceremony about to unfold.
A graceful Bridesmaids’ entrance
To continue the soft, piano-driven mood, the bride chose It’s Your Day by Yiruma for the bridesmaids’ entrance. The gentle notes added a graceful touch as the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle, perfectly matching the elegance of the setting and the joy in the air.
An Alternative wedding Entrance Song
For her own entrance, the bride had something more unique in mind. While she adored the classical and cinematic piano pieces played earlier, she wanted her bridal entrance to be different—a surprise for her groom that reflected their personal love story. The song that held special meaning for them as a couple was Heartbeat by Scouting for Girls. They had their first date at their university’s summer ball, where Scouting for Girls performed, and the song had been a fun part of their relationship ever since.
Though the song didn’t quite fit with the traditional music played earlier, the bride was determined to make it her entrance music. She couldn’t find any existing piano covers and wasn’t sure if it would work, but after speaking with us, we knew we could make it happen. At HMH Piano Collective, we love making couples’ musical dreams come true, so I quickly got to work creating a piano arrangement that would turn the upbeat indie-pop song into an elegant piece that fit the occasion. After sending the bride a sample recording, her response was heartwarming:

The moment when she walked down the aisle to that special, unexpected song was unforgettable—both for the bride and groom and for their guests. A Day Filled with Love and Music
The wedding day itself was a colourful celebration of love and laughter, set in the stunning surroundings of Coed y Mwstwr. Live piano music filled the ceremony with a sense of intimacy and elegance. After the ceremony, the couple shared their appreciation for the live music that made their day so special:
“Joseph played during our wedding ceremony on 11/07/24, and we can honestly say that it transformed the atmosphere. He was fantastic. The booking process was seamless, and Hannah provided so much support and advice when we were deciding on song options. This also included a sample of my bridesmaids’ and my entrance music well ahead of time.
