Wedding Pianist and Founder of HMH Piano Collective

The piano has been part of my life for as long as I remember. My mum is principal of the Hebron Piano School, and I began playing at the age of two, before following my passion for music through school, university, post-graduate studies and into a fulfilling career as a pianist that’s taken me all over the world.

Playing piano and feeling the music rise around me is my way of celebrating, commiserating, being at peace, working through emotions and a whole lot more besides.

After all this time, I can’t imagine my life without it.

Why We Love Playing Piano at

Live piano music is a way of adding a subtle but deep layer of meaning to an event. It charges the atmosphere, and creates a sensory experience that can transport you back to a particular moment each time you hear the music in future. (I truly believe it’s a sort of everyday magic).

Weddings are so full of emotion; I wanted to create a way of helping couples put their personal stamp on their day through sensitive arrangements of favourite pieces of music, while capturing the feelings of the moment. So, in 2009, I started as a wedding pianist, based in South Wales.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of playing piano for dozens and dozens of couples, performing for emotional ceremonies, joyful drinks and mingling, and elegant feasts. Whether soaring classical crescendos, jazz standards, pop favourites, film scores or something totally new, it’s always a ‘shivers down the spine’ moment when the hush falls as the music starts.

The Piano Collective

I’m delighted to have expanded the team and brought other exceptional wedding pianists on board.

We’re able to spread our love of live piano to more wonderful couples across the country. Each one of the HMH team is not only a brilliantly talented musician, but they’re all genuinely lovely people as well. We can’t wait to hear about the music that makes you feel special, and to bring it to life for you on your wedding day.

Behind the scenes

When I’m not tinkling the ivories, you’ll find me…

… curled up catlike with a cuppa and a book (romance novels are my particular guilty pleasure)

… making little havens of order and calm in our Hertfordshire home. A good declutter does wonders for my busy brain!

… escaping to the coast with my husband in our (rare) pockets of time off together! Give me blustery cliff walks, pubs with dogs, and fish and chips eaten with little wooden forks!
